NUM Compass - „Coordination on mobile pandemic apps best practice and solution sharing“

The network of university medicine (NUM) on COVID-19 focuses on the medical care of patients. The Compass project is one of a total of 13 NUM projects funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) with a total of 150 million euros to combat the pandemic.

In the Compass project, the Institute for Medical Informatics is involved in setting up a platform that coordinates and provides specific methods and tools for pandemic apps. Partners from science and industry are joining forces nationwide and are pursuing an open source approach. Together they coordinate and evaluate the pandemic apps and create recommendations for action. This also creates a basis for digital solutions in order to be better digitally equipped for future pandemics.
